Denise Little Clappier - December & January Artist
December 06, 2011 Print
This is Denise's second year back with her unique pressed flower art. She uses a special Microfleur press to capture the true and lasting color of flowers. With endless ideas on how to create a unique style using fabric and flowers she transforms an ordinary flower into a special piece of wall art that will last for years to come.
Denise is Atwater's office manager of 10 years and wears many hats here from marketing, label creation, website and even cooking for the events. This pressed flower art show is not something that is or will be shown anywhere else and is done as a hobby to make people smile and say "how did you do that"? With a vivid imagination and inspired by the colors and textures of both plants and fabrics.
These pieces are reasonably priced because they are intended to be enjoyed by others and would make a very unique gift for yourself or someone else.
By the way, you can do this yourself with a Microfleur press that can be purchased here in the tasting room. Using a microwave and this USA made patented press; results can be achieved in seconds to dry the flowers. Instructions included, creativity awaits. On sale for $40.00.
