Vine Dining

Wednesday, 06 July 2011.

Attention Foodies: Have you ever dreamed of attending an intimate dinner party with fine wines in a vineyard setting with a professional chef?

Back by popular request... three dates are scheduled this summer for "Vine Dining". Experience fine dining cooked table-side by Samantha Buyskes and her Simply Red team while you are nestled in Atwater's beautiful vineyards overlooking Seneca Lake. JULY 31, AUGUST 26, SEPTEMBER 23!

Delectable menus that focus on local and seasonal ingredients are thoughtfully paired with Atwater wines. Meet our winemakers and enjoy lively conversation with friends old and new.

Whether this is an escape for you and a loved one or a great night out with friends you won't want to miss this experience. Space is limited to an intimate number of 24 people for each event, so book your experience early to guarantee your spot! These dinners sell out quickly.

This is a rain or shine event. We will serve in Atwater's tasting room if necessary.

While the menu is at the discretion of the chef and not published beforehand, certain food restrictions cannot easily or even readily be accommodated. This allows Sam full creative license. She has the freedom to cook what she wants and is not tied down to a specific ethnic cuisine or fixed menu items. For the most part, she has the ability to buy what she wants based on quality, freshness and what is in season.

Why Doesn't Eating Local Translate to Drinking Local?

Thursday, 16 June 2011.

We are proud to be mentioned along with Billsboro in Wine Spectator's June 15th blog by James Molesworth.

"It's time for sommeliers and retailers to show some support for the efforts of these growers, but they can't and won't do that until consumers are actively looking for and willing to buy them. The list of quality wineries in the Finger Lakes is a lot longer than it was 10 years ago: Atwater Estate, Billsboro, Bloomer Creek, Damiani, Fox Run, Heart & Hands, Heron Hill, Keuka Lake Vineyards, Lamoreaux Landing, Red Tail Ridge, Rooster Hill, Shaw, Sheldrake Point, Standing Stone, Tierce ...."
